Tzuri was 8 weeks old when I snatched her from her momma and siblings in Miami, put her in a crate in a strange car, and drove five hours to her new home in Central Florida.
She slept most of the way, and once we arrived adjusted quickly. But there was, the first few days, occasional bewilderment.
We laugh about it now and Tzuri cringes when I get out the scrapbook and show these moody pup pictures from the past, but here are some of those pensive existential moments.

Tzuri 
It was so moving to see Tzuri with her beautiful mommy!!! I watched that several times. I’m sure she still remembers images of her mom from a tiny puppy’s POV, or maybe more by smell. Mom even wanted to play with her! What a precious video to have.

I actually rubbed a towel on her Mother’s back to take with us so Tzuri would have her scent for a few days!
